More Information

`Tudor Acid 304: Remixes' comes hot on the heels of 'Merri Portland', the well-received debut album from Tudor Acid (aka Richard Wigglesworth) released last month on Tudor Beats. A mixture of home listening and dancefloor material, the album received a great response across the UK media with airplay support, and press reviewers noting that there was an abundance of exciting ideas along with influences from Detroit, and comparisons with Aphex Twin.

In the time-honoured tradition of Factory Records, neither of the remixes on 'Tudor Acid 304' or the original tracks appeared on the 'Merri Portland' album so we are delighted to follow up that acclaimed longplayer with some fresh dancefloor gear. The remixers should need no introduction here. Both Luke Vibert and Radioactive Man are seminal electronic producers who always deliver with a flourish. They have continued to impress recently with Vibert's 'We Hear You' album for Planet Mu and Radioactive Man's 'Growl' album on his own Control Tower that was also picked up for Fabric's in-house label. Luke Vibert puts a Kerrier District spin onto his version of 'Tudor Disco', which will move your mind and your feet with its driving acid groove, while Radioactive Man's luscious remix of 'Urgent' takes its influence from Carl Craig's (69) track 'Desire'.

You can check out Tudor Acid live at Big Chill Bar in Bristol on 28 March and Disco-R-Dance in London on 10 April.
