More Information
Tudor Beats is proud to announce 'The Wrong Side Of
Day' by Tudor Acid.
Following the highly successful and acclaimed Tudor Acid
304 remixes twelve inch, which featured Radioactive Man
and Luke Vibert, 'The Wrong Side Of Day' is a ten-part
digipak CD and digital download to be released over the
coming months.
Like a picture-book fairy story it explores what happens
when you enter a new day from the wrong side. When
you do, magic is released but not all of it is necessarily
dark or malevolent.
For Part 1 of The Wrong Side of Day, Tudor Acid presents
a new direction over these four tracks, which were
recently previewed at two thrilling gigs in London - Tudor
Acid supported Wisp on the last night of Wisp's European
tour and then headlined Disco_r_dance at The Foundry.
By combining ambience with beats to develop an ambient
techno sound that still retains the danceability of true
techno, Tudor Acid shows his love of new beats and new
ways to create them, experimenting with individual sounds
and judging their merits based on their emotional
resonance.
'Misty AM' launches us into a backwards world of twists
and turns with its off-kilter melodies, ending in more
familiar territory before we step into 'Wrong Side of Day'
with tinkling bells punctuated by heavy drum beats and
plink-plonk keys. This leads us into the up-beat but
sweetly crooked tones of 'Sedbergh' in its neat 3-minute
package, before 'Glass Walls' completes the set with
creatively stripped beats and poignant synth plays.
The successive parts of 'The Wrong Side Of Day' will be
released once a month and the full digipak CD will be
available exclusively from the Tudor Beats website.
